In between July and August, the SVCSI was proud to host the UNiSEC Summer Cybersecurity Research Camp. For eight weeks, undergraduate and high-school students, both belonging to underrepresented groups, had the opportunity to participate and collaborate with our faculty members in research projects in the cybersecurity domain. The camp consisted of talks by professionals in the industry and academia, research seminars, tutorials in topics related to AI and quantum cryptography, and career consulting workshops to offer the best possible involvement to the students. To validate our efforts, a pre-camp and a post-camp survey was completed by the students, which showed an increased interest in this field, and more confidence in their skills. All the details about the summer camp can be found in this report.

The report contains the recruitment results (1), a research program overview (2), details on the submitted research posters (3), and the students’ survey in conjunction with the camp results (4).
