Highlights from SVCC 2025 Adobe Cyber Warrior CTF

Live leaderboard drama: The scoreboard, projected in real-time, kept everyone on their toes. Teams leapfrogged each other as the clock ticked down, with last-minute solutions changing the rankings in the final seconds.

Mentors in action: Adobe engineers didn’t just host—they mingled with participants, answered questions, and even dropped the occasional hint to help teams breakthrough.

Stories of grit: One first-time team, after struggling for 45 minutes on a forensics challenge, cracked the code with a nudge from an Adobe pro, earning their first flag and a huge round of applause from the room.

The Numbers:

100+ participants

2 adrenaline-charged hours

6 challenge categories

3 awesome prizes: a Polaroid camera, The Great Wave Lego set, and a portable JBL speaker (via Adobe)

Lessons and Takeaways

Adobe CTF highlights the importance of secure-by-design thinking, creative problem-solving, and teamwork. Participants not only compete for prizes but also learn about real-world vulnerabilities and how to prevent them in their projects.

“The challenges were challenging and interesting as always. I enjoy CTF challenges that test all my working brain cells and are real-world focused.” - Uday Kumar Reddy Pesala (3rd Winner)

At SVCSI, we believe that hands-on, collaborative events like CTFs are the best way to learn, connect, and inspire the next generation of cybersecurity talent. Whether you solved every challenge or just one, you left with new skills, new friends, and the thrill of the chase.
